Bob joined for a bit and began a workout of 3 x 1mi at a little under 6min pace but strained his calf midway through. Very frustrating. Hope he heals quickly. He's got Falmouth on the horizon.
Felt pretty good today. Performed noticeably better than 2 weeks ago when I lasted 160mins. Trying to get this workout up to 3 hours without stressing my body excessively. Have to admit that this workout is quite a mental challenge and it's not like your legs feel real zippy despite the walk breaks. But when you're done and as the day goes on, you notice you're not all that tired. I believe there will be a lot of benefit.
I feel like the long walk/jog workout will be particularly effective for folks in the Wednesday night group who are doing long races in the Fall. Wanted to try it out before I make any hair-brained suggestions.
I may try to get some company for the next one as it got a bit lonely out there today...even with Bob's visit.
