6:30PM - F500 - strength, technique, light conditioning:
6mins jog in rain
5mins OTM (on-the-minute)
5 hang cleans (75lbs)
5 hang cleans (85lbs)
12mins OTM (alternate)
1 TGU (turkish get-up) (35lbs)
1min spin bike
Good amount of activity for a recovery day but none of it was too taxing...or so I say. We'll see tomorrow.
By the way....the turkish get-up is one of those wonderful whole body exercises that has multiple benefits and doesn't beat you up too much. I've found it extremely therapeutic. The only problem is that it's fairly complicated. But once you get the hang of it, it can be quite a good tool.
It's a particularly good exercise for endurance athletes because it helps you get strong without adding any bulk.
If you do not know how to do the turkish get-up, you probably want a qualified trainer to show you how to do it. In the meantime, an example of how to do the turkish get-up can be seen here.
