I'm 17 days in. Right now...I feel good...except when I'm running when I feel awful. Actually...beyond awful. I almost can't do it. But I've read and listened to numerous accounts of very knowledgeable people who have done the same thing...and this is often how it goes. Apparently, you've got to stay with it for 1 month minimum so I'm hanging in.
This is not something to be done close to an important race. That's for sure.
The last 3 days "training" went like this:
Sunday 4/5 - from BHS - 30mins walk/run...pulse very high....then 4 x 400m w/~2:30 walk/jog/stand recovery (93,93,91,89). Felt very weak and wobbly.
Saturday - from F500 - 30mins W:30/R2:30, then 10 x ~100m strides w/~1:20 walk/jog recovery. Lousy...pulse very high. Then in gym...21-15 of pull-ups and thrusters (45lb bar).
Friday - from F500 - 60mins...walk 30secs at top of every 5mins. Hung around 130bpm.
